My career in Fashion and Textiles began with studying for a degree in the subject at Loughborough University, where I specialised in Embroidery. After some years working in the textile industry, designing hosiery, lace, and children’s wear for store groups, I retrained to become a lecturer in Art and Design in the F.E sector, where I taught for 16 years focusing mainly on textile design.

I left teaching in 2021 to pursue a career as a self-employed artist. I create paintings inspired by nature, paint murals to commission, upcycle garments, teach stitch and textile workshops, and deliver talks about my work.
